Acceptance of Order

Initial consultations will be free of charge and will be held under a no-obligation basis.

By issuing a quotation I agree to provide the services detailed and any items specified at the costs shown, with care and skill to our usual high standards.

By accepting our quotation you are agreeing to the terms that follow and the prices quoted.

Quotations are valid for 60 days.

I will take detailed measurements to enable me to produce your quotation and order/manufacture the items. Please ensure that we have unobstructed access to the areas both for measuring and when fitting.

If you the ‘client’ or ‘interior designer’ provides the required measurements, then all items subsequently made will be done so in accordance with them.  KDH Interiors can take no responsibility for any mistakes arising from inaccurate measuring by the Client or Interior Designer. Such errors may be rectified, but this will be at an additional cost to the customer.

Any changes to the specifications detailed must be agreed in writing and accordingly charges may be either reduced or increased. You will be advised in advance of any such variation in charges.

KDH Interiors cannot be held responsible for any materials going out of stock between quotation acceptance and materials purchase. Any monies received with respect to such an order will be refunded.

 Risks

If you are supplying your own fabric to me to work with there is a 10% surcharge and you accept responsibility for the quality of that fabric.  I will use my best endeavours to produce your Item/s to the high standard item you expect.  I cannot accept responsibility for fabric which may have flaws in the finish or the printing. Reputable curtain fabric suppliers will indicate any flaws with supplier’s tags’ at the selvedge of the fabric.  We can discuss these prior to work commencing

If you change your mind after we have ordered your fabric there will be a restocking fee of 20% plus return carriage.  This is levied by our suppliers and will be passed on to you.

If you choose to install your own tracks, poles, etc or have them installed by your own contractor we would need to check measurements after installation and we cannot take any responsibility for any failure, faults or other problems that arise out of that installation.

We cannot be held responsible for fabric fading caused by sunlight or for shrinkage to curtains, blinds or soft furnishings that have been steamed, dry-cleaned or exposed to varying humidity.

Date of completion

The Estimated date of completion may be subject to change. The Estimated date of commencement will depend on date of confirmation of the order and will be subject to other work already scheduled. I will keep you informed and will advise you of any change.  If necessary, I will give you a new estimated date of completion.

If unforeseen circumstances arise after you place your order which mean that I will have to cancel or significantly reschedule your order, I will notify you as soon as possible.  If I have to cancel your order after your part-payment has been paid, I will give you a full refund of your part-payment.

Along with my fitter I aim to attend all appointments to make sure all items are hung and dressed to my standard. 

Installation

I request that you, whether the end client or an instructing interior designer, are on site when we deliver and install your goods to approve the finished project at that time.

In the unlikely event of a problem with an order, whether our fault or yours, it must be brought to our attention within 30 days of delivery of that order and wherever possible we will rectify it.  Thereafter charges may be made for any corrections agreed necessary where we are not at fault.  We will not be responsible for any costs involved if you have another contractor make alterations or changes to goods we have made without our agreement.

Payment

When we are ordering products made to your or our specific measurements from third party suppliers we will request full payment plus 50% of the make up cost.  These charges will be required before we start work on your project, the remainder to be paid prior to the final fitting.

Force Majeure

I will not be held responsible for any delays or failures to meet our obligations where it is beyond my reasonable control.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in the event of any dispute arising from these terms and conditions.
